Buckie Shipyard - The Staff

Our company possesses a skilled workforce of 47 who are project focussed and comprise steelworkers, welders, joiners, carpenters, painters, plumbers, mechanical engineers and electricians. Integrated project work teams are dedicated to specific customer vessels thus ensuring continuity and a high level of quality.

Our in-house capabilities can be supplemented by a number of specialist services using local and national subcontractors covering all aspects of marine engineering, electrics/electronics and naval architecture.

 

Current Job Vacancies at Buckie Shipyard - December 2009

MARINE ENGINEERS
Experienced marine engineers for work on RNLI lifeboats, windfarm service vessels, fishing boats, small coasters, tugs & workboats. Those with a head for heights could also find themselves working on wind turbines.


BOATBUILDERS / OUTFITTERS
Lifeboat refits, ARRC vessel refits, outfitting of newbuild aluminium catamarans, various interesting projects.


PAINTER FOREMAN
A highly experienced and well organised foreman to lead an enthusiastic team helping to achieve quality in state of the art paint facilities. Must have marine and boatyard experience, filling fairing, 2 pack and epoxy coatings, spray, brush and roller application.


MARINE PLATER
A highly experienced marine plater required for various projects, must be a shipyard trained plater and should have recent experience in marine aluminium fabrication and boatbuilding.

 


Good rates of pay, 33 days holiday, excellent working environment, superb quality of life on Scotland’s Moray coast.
